The lights of fever, do your tears still flow

And does the throat still thirst after being quenched?

The dwellings of Sa'da are blessed for their dweller

As if those houses are contracted

When she smiles at night, her admirer weeps

So from her and him, there is lightning and thunder

And in the quarter, the charmer Al-Wa’ith still captivates

While the other is a captive, broken-hearted and bound

A gazelle of the wilderness, intimate and friendly

When it glances back, to its viewer, shy and timid

The water of beauty ripples in its cheeks

But no thirsty soul can reach it

Oh, can I return to the era of youth?

Alas! What is gone will not return

As if for its nights, its handsome creator

Had consciousness, and cheeks red like the sand grouse
