فالأرض في بردةٍ من يانعِ الزّهرِ
تُزري إذا قِستها بالوشى والحِبَرِ
The earth in a gown of blossoming flowers,
When you dress it with vegetation and ink.
قد احكمتها أكف المزن واكفةً
وطرّزتَها بما تُهمي من الدّررِ
Its hems stitched by fingers of rain,
Embroidered with what jewels you send down.
تبرجت فسبت منا العيون هوى
وفتنةً بعد طولِ السِّتر والخَفَرِ
It displayed itself, captivating our eyes with love,
Seduction, after so much concealment and covering.
