فَسِرنا إِلَيهِم كافَةً في رِحالِهِم

جَميعاً عَلَينا البيضُ لا نَتَخَشَّعُ

We traveled all together on our journeys

The Bayadh tribe among us do not grovel

وَجِئنا إِلى مَوجٍ مِنَ البَحرِ زاخِرٍ

أَحابيشَ مِنهُم حاسِرٌ وَمُقَنَّعُ

And we came upon a tumultuous sea

Some defeated among them and some veiled
