Have the celestial spheres come apart, or seen their course?

So we have become bewildered; they have strayed from the right paths.

It is as though the traveling stars have stopped

traveling, so that they have not reached their destinations.

ففي قلب بهرام وجيب وروعة

So there is throbbing and dread in Bahram's heart,

And Kaywan is dim-sighted and does not watch over the lookout posts.

لذاك تمادت دولة اللؤم وانبرت

Thus the reign of baseness has persisted, and forward have stepped

the sons of the Turks, seeking stairways to the sky.
