بصائب فكرةٍ وعلو همه

بصائب فكرةٍ وعلو همه

I outstripped all mankind in reaching lofty heights,

You preceded the worlds in glory

through sound thought and lofty resolve.

With the rightness of your thought and the loftiness of your aspiration

فلاح بحكمتي نور الهدى في

فلاح بحكمتي نور الهدى في

ليالٍ للضلالة مدلهمه

ليالٍ للضلالة مدلهمه

Thus, through my wisdom, the light of guidance shone in

So the light of guidance shone through your wisdom

pitch-dark nights of error.

In nights darkened for those gone astray

يريد الجاحدون ليطفئوها

يريد الجاحدون ليطفئوها

ويأبى الله إلا أن يتمه

ويأبى الله إلا أن يتمه

The deniers wish to extinguish it,

The unbelievers want to extinguish it

but God insists on bringing it to fullness.

But God refuses save to perfect it
