شفاءُ الحبّ تقبيلٌ وضمّ

شفاءُ الحبّ تقبيلٌ وضمّ

وَجرٌّ بالبطون على البطونِ

وَجرٌّ بالبطون على البطونِ

Love’s cure is kissing and embracing,

The cure of love is a kiss and embrace

And sliding bellies over bellies,

Rolling belly over belly

وَرهزٌ تهملُ العينان منهُ

وَرهزٌ تهملُ العينان منهُ

وَأخذٌ بالمناكب والقرونِ

وَأخذٌ بالمناكب والقرونِ

And thrusting that makes both eyes stream with tears,

And shaking that makes the eyes neglect it

And grasping shoulders and tresses.

And taking by the shoulders and horns
