لا تَغدُروا إنَ هذا الغدرَ مَنقصةٌ

لا تَغدُروا إنَ هذا الغدرَ مَنقصةٌ

وَكلّ عيبٍ يرى عيباً وَإِن صغرا

وَكلّ عيبٍ يرى عيباً وَإِن صغرا

Do not betray, for this betrayal is a disgrace.

And every fault is seen as a fault, however small.

إِنّي أَخافُ عَليكم مثلَ تلك غداً

إِنّي أَخافُ عَليكم مثلَ تلك غداً

وَفي الأمورِ تَدابيرٌ لِمَن نَظرا

وَفي الأمورِ تَدابيرٌ لِمَن نَظرا

Indeed, I fear the same may befall you tomorrow.

And there are ways to handle matters for whoever reflects.

شَتّان باغٍ علينا غير متّئدٍ

شَتّان باغٍ علينا غير متّئدٍ

يَغشى الظلامةَ لَن تبقي وَلن تذرا

يَغشى الظلامةَ لَن تبقي وَلن تذرا

How different is a reckless aggressor against us,

who plunges into injustice that will spare nothing and leave nothing.
