I love Qanā out of love for Hind, and I did not

care whether God made it nearer or farther away.

Lo, in the lowlands of the valley of Dhū Qanā,

we have a desire that deliberately drew us toward it.

Show me Qanā so I may gaze upon it, for I

love Qanā: indeed, I saw Hind there.
