سَرىjourneyed by night مِنfrom بِلادlands الغورal-Ghawr (the lowlands) حَتّىuntil اهتَدىfound his way لَناto us
سَرى مِن بِلاد الغور حَتّى اهتَدى لَنا
وَنَحنُand we قَريبnear مِنfrom عَموندʿAmūnd سَوادِمَهSawādimah
وَنَحنُ قَريب مِن عَموند سَوادِمَه
He journeyed by night from the lands of al-Ghawr until he found his way to us,
He journeyed from the land of Ghor until he found his way to us,
while we were near ʿAmūnd Sawādimah.
While we were near Amund, recognizing its darkness.
