إنّيindeed I لاكرهI surely dislike ماwhat كَرِهتyou disliked منin الَّذيthe one who
إنّي لاكره ما كَرِهت من الَّذي
يُؤذيكَharms you سوءbadness ثنائِهhis praise لَمdid not يَشرَبhe drinks
يُؤذيكَ سوء ثنائِه لَم يَشرَب
Indeed, I dislike what you disliked in the one
whose ill praise harms you; he has not drunk.
