قَبَحَ الإِلَهُ الفَقعَسيَّ وَرَهطَهُ

قَبَحَ الإِلَهُ الفَقعَسيَّ وَرَهطَهُ

وَإِذا تَأَوَّهَتِ القَلاصُ الضُمَّرُ

وَإِذا تَأَوَّهَتِ القَلاصُ الضُمَّرُ

May God disgrace al-Faqʿasī and his clan,

The god may curse the Phagasean and his companions,

And when the lean young she-camels groan,

and when the sorrowful brayed the little gray one;

وَلَحا الإِلَهُ الفَقعَسِيَّ وَرَهطَهُ

وَلَحا الإِلَهُ الفَقعَسِيَّ وَرَهطَهُ

وَإِذا تَوَقَّدَ في النِجادِ الحَزوَرُ

وَإِذا تَوَقَّدَ في النِجادِ الحَزوَرُ

And may God curse al-Faqʿasī and his clan,

and may the god curse the Phagaseans and their companions,

And when the ḥazwar blazes in the uplands.

and when the blaze kindled among the dry sticks.
