As though a window onto her hands

were a wave in her breast, trembling in her sleep.

As though I wear the window to pass into her dream.

She withheld a light from her words.

In whatever language I wander, divining what he says.

She drew my hand into a language whose fragility moans in me.

  4. .

    .

    .

    .

She stared, in wonder, at her butterflies,

wandering between her eyes and what the dawn resounds with.

    .

But night wooed her a little and was stained crimson with me.

    .

  7. .

    .

I called out to the night traveling through her hair:

Be my fingers, reading the geography of her cascades.

Return the fingertips' speech to her hair, to her poem.

But she drew aside the wrap from silver.

The words said to me: 'Is this the gasp of light?'

    .

I said: 'Night's wrap hid the secret's surge in her garden.'

    .

  11. .

    .

.. And the waves still coo in her breast.

Did she sleep, just before or just after a sigh, when she awoke?

She encircled her dream with her arms, so the bed blazed with it.

  13. .

    .

    .

    .

.. And she was, to the right and to the left,

rocking the cradle of conversations for us, and speaking to me in riddles with her gestures:

    .

Take your cave to your gaze, and keep visiting my universe, for you are in it ..

    .

  16. .

    .

You removed the window's linguistic curtain.

I allowed myself to advance through my abyss toward my essence.

And when I rested my hands on hers, the doves laughed and grew ecstatic.

  18. .

    .

    .

    .

The window reeled, and the cup is what you see.

She cloaked herself in the lips of the unseen and had swum a little.

    .

And she sang praises near her glance, and ceased, for the fragrance had told tales.

    .

  21. .

    .

She swayed, asleep; then groaned the speech that ..

And she saw, in her dream, that she rose toward the one who ..

She took her balcony to her name and cast her name upon it.

  23. .

    .

    .

    .

A moment leapt from my hands to carry me.

She opened her window only as embers, to strike sparks in me.

I opened my heart's window. She is asleep in it. And .. I wore her dream ..
