كَلَحَتgrew grim قُمصانُكَyour shirts فيin الأدراجthe drawers
كَلَحَت قُمصانُكَ في الأدراج

Your shirts grew grim in the drawers,
وصارَand became للكُتُبِfor the books والفناجينand the cups
وصارَ للكُتُبِ والفناجين
سحنةُcomplexion الغُبارthe dust
سحنةُ الغُبار
and the books and cups took on
the complexion of dust,
ولاand no رُوحَspirit لديكَyou have
ولا رُوحَ لديكَ
لتُبدّلَto change
لتُبدّلَ
and you have no spirit
to change
ماءَwater المزهريّةthe vase .
ماءَ المزهريّة .

تجدُyou find

لتُطعمَto feed حملانَlambs عُزلتِكَyour solitude
لتُطعمَ حملانَ عُزلتِكَ
enough time
to feed the lambs of your solitude
لذئابِto the wolves

غيابِهاher absence ..
