1. صلاةُ ربِّي مَعَ السَّلاَمِ

    عَلَى حَبِيبِي خَيْرِ الأَنَامِ

    My Lord's blessings, together with peace,

    Upon my beloved, the best of creation.

  2. بادي الشَّفُوفِ داني القُطوفِ

    بَرٍّ عَطوفِ ليْثٍ هُمامِ

    Manifest in excellence, his fruits within reach,

    Righteous and tender, a lion of valor.

  3. ذاك النبيُّ الهاشميُّ

    ذاك العليُّ الهادي التَّهامِ

    That Hashimite Prophet,

    That exalted guide from Tihamah.

  4. ذاك الرفيعُ الغَوْث المنيعُ

    ذاك الشفيعُ يومَ القيامِ

    That lofty one, the unassailable succor,

    That intercessor on the Day of Resurrection.

  5. عينُ الكمالِ عينُ الجمالِ

    قُطبُ الجلال قُطبُ الكرامِ

    The essence of perfection, the essence of beauty,

    The axis of majesty, the axis of the noble.

  6. نافي الضلالِ ضافي الظلال

    صافي الزُّلالِ لكلّ ظامِ

    Banisher of error, ample in shade,

    Pure, clear water for every thirsty soul.

  7. جَمُّ الخِصالِ جَمُّ المَعالي

    جَمُّ النَّوالِ نَدَاهُ هامِ

    Abundant in virtues, abundant in lofty merits,

    Abundant in gifts, his generosity pouring down.

  8. زين الخلالِ زين الرجالِ

    زينُ الفعَالِ زَينُ الأسامِ

    The adornment of virtues, the adornment of men,

    The adornment of deeds, the adornment of names.

  9. عالي المنارِعالي الفَخارِ

    عالي النّجارِعالي المقامِ

    Lofty his beacon, lofty his glory,

    Lofty his lineage, lofty his station.

  10. بَدْرُ السُّعودِ وافي الوُعُودِ

    وافي العُهُودِ وافي الذمامِ

    The full moon of good fortune, faithful to promises,

    Faithful to covenants, faithful to pledges of protection.

  11. قُطبُ الوُجودِ مُغْنى الوُفود

    مُدنى الأسودِ إلى الحِمامِ

    The axis of existence, enricher of delegations,

    Bringing lions close to death.

  12. هادي العباد هادي الأيادِ

    جالِ الأعبادي جالِ الظلامِ

    Guide of the servants, bestower of favors,

    Dispeller of al-aʿbādī [unclear], dispeller of darkness.

  13. حام الحقائق غوثُ الخلائق

    صافِ الخلائق كافِ الزُّنامِ

    Guardian of truths, succor of creatures,

    Pure in character, warding off al-zunām [unclear].

  14. أسْنى الوَسائلْ أسْنى المحافلْ

    مُسْدى الجلائلْ مُرْدى اللئامِ

    The loftiest means of approach, most radiant in gatherings,

    Bestower of great favors, bringer of ruin upon the vile.

  15. طَوْدُ الجلاَلَهْ بادي البسالهْ

    نجْمُ الرِّسالهْ بَدْرُ التمامِ

    A mountain of majesty, manifest in valor,

    The star of the prophetic mission, the moon at its fullness.

  16. سَهْلُ السّجايا جَمُّ المَزايا

    بينَ البَرايا وسطَ النّظامِ

    Gentle in nature, abundant in merits,

    Among creatures, the centerpiece of the necklace.

  17. مبدى العَجائبْ مُهدي الرغائبْ

    له كتائبْ أسْدُ اللّطامِ

    Revealer of wonders, giver of coveted gifts,

    His battalions are lions in the clash.

  18. سُودُ الوقائعْ خُضرُ المرابعْ

    بِيضُ الشرائع حُمْرُ السِّهامِ

    Black their battles, green their encampments,

    White their laws, red their arrows.

  19. وجْهٌ جَميلٌ طرْفٌ كحيلُ

    ظِلٌ ظليلُ على الأنامِ

    A beautiful face, a kohl-dark eye,

    Deep, sheltering shade over creation.

  20. فخرٌ أصِيلُ مَجدٌ أثيلُ

    خَدٌّ أسِيلُ في الفخرِ سامِ

    Deep-rooted honor, firmly founded glory,

    A smooth cheek, lofty in honor.

  21. عِزٌّ قدِيمُ هَدْىٌ قوِيمُ

    وَجْهٌ كريمُ على السّلامِ

    Ancient might, upright guidance,

    A noble face—upon it be peace.

  22. جاهٌ عَظيمُ مجدٌ صَميم

    جودٌ عَميمُ بلا انصرامِ

    Great standing, genuine glory,

    Generosity embracing all, without cessation.

  23. خلْقٌ صَبيحُ خُلْقٌ مَليحُ

    نُطقٌ فصيحُ أسنى الكلامِ

    A handsome form, a lovely character,

    Eloquent speech, the most splendid words.

  24. ليتٌ جريءُ غيثٌ مربئُ

    غَوْثٌ بَريءُ من كلّ ذامِ

    A bold lion, rain that fosters growth,

    A succor free of every blemish.

  25. هادٍ أمينُ حِصْنٌ حَصِينُ

    حَبْلٌ مَتينُ بلا انفِصامِ

    A trustworthy guide, a fortified stronghold,

    A strong cord, never broken.

  26. ناءٍ مَداهُ هامٍ نَدَاهُ

    مُولٍ عِداهُ حَدّ الحُسامِ

    Far-reaching his scope, pouring down his bounty,

    Giving his enemies the edge of the sharp sword.

  27. و المعجزاتِ المبيناتِ

    المحكاتِ الغُرّ السَّوامِ

    And the manifest miracles,

    The touchstones, radiant and lofty.

  28. أبدي الإلهُ سَنا حُلاهُ

    زارتْ عُلاهُ ظبا الموامِ

    God revealed the radiance of his adornments;

    The gazelles of the wastes visited his exalted presence.

  29. والذئبُ عنَّا والجذعُ حَنَّا

    له وأنَّا كالمستهامِ

    And the wolf appeared, and the palm-trunk yearned

    For him, and moaned like one lovesick.

  30. والبدْرُ شُقّي لمن تَرَقى

    وباتَ يُلقى بالاحترامِ

    And the full moon was split for him who ascended,

    And he spent the night received with reverence.

  31. والصّخرُ سَلَّمْ والجوُّ أظلمْ

    له تكلَّمْ موتى الرِّجامِ

    And the rocks gave greetings, and the sky grew dark;

    The dead of stone-marked graves spoke to him.

  32. والبئرُ فارَتْ والسَّرْحُ سارتْ

    دَعى فصارتْ خُصباً أزامِ

    And the well gushed, and the trees walked;

    He prayed, and drought became abundance.

  33. والشاةُ أبدَتْ والشمْسُ رُدّتْ

    له أُعِدَّتْ دارُ السَّلامِ

    And the ewe revealed, and the sun was brought back;

    For him the Abode of Peace was prepared.

  34. والضّرْعُ دَرًّا والوحشُ قَرّا

    له أقرَّا ضَبُّ الإكامِ

    And the udder flowed, and the wild beast grew still;

    The lizard of the hillocks acknowledged him.

  35. والجذْعُ خارا والغيثُ فارا

    لمَّا أشارَا إلى الغمامِ

    And the palm-trunk lowed, and the rain gushed forth

    When he gestured toward the clouds.

  36. آياتُ طه ليْسَتْ تُباهي

    ولا تَناهي على الدَّوامِ

    Taha's signs cannot be rivaled,

    And have no end, for all time.

  37. قلبي لديْهِ شَوْقي إليهِ

    يَزْكو عليهِ أزْكى السّلامِ

    My heart is with him; my longing for him

    Grows—upon him be the purest peace.

  38. ما الدهرَ لاحتْ ذُكىً وفاحت

    صَباً وناحَتْ وُرْقُ الحمَامِ

    As long as Dhukā, the sun, shines through time, and sweetly blows

    The east wind, and gray doves mourn.

  39. عَلَى الإمامِ أعْلى الأنامِ

    أنْمى السلامِ من السلامِ

    Upon the Imam, highest of creation,

    The fullest peace from al-Salām.

  40. إني لشادِ خَيْرِ العِبادِ

    راجي أيادِ مِنهُ عِظامِ

    I am surely a praise-singer of the best of servants,

    Hoping for great favors from him.

  41. يا مَنْ حَباهُ بما حباهُ

    ثمَّ اصْطفاهُ هب لي مَرامي

    O You who endowed him with all You gave him,

    Then chose him: grant me my desire.

  42. رَبّ امْحُ عَني ما كَان مني

    سُوءًا فإني بك اعْتِصامي

    My Lord, erase from me whatever came from me

    Of evil; for in You I seek refuge.

  43. وحُط ذنبي وأحْي قَلبي

    فأنْتَ رَبي مُحيي العِظامِ

    And remove my sin and revive my heart;

    For You are my Lord, the Reviver of bones.

  44. كفّرْ ذنوبي واستُرْ عُيوبي

    واكشف كروبي واغفرْ أثامي

    Expiate my sins and conceal my faults,

    And dispel my troubles and forgive my transgressions.

  45. حَقّقْ مُنانا فيكَ امتنانا

    واغفر خَنانا بذا الإِمامِ

    Fulfill, by Your grace, our hopes in You,

    And forgive our indecency through this Imam.

  46. قِنا البَلايا وافتحْ لنايا

    جَمَّ العَطايا سُبْلَ السَّلامِ

    Protect us from calamities and open for us, O

    Abundant in gifts, the paths of peace.

  47. وارزقْ لَنايا بارِي البرايا

    عِندَ المنايا حُسْنَ الخِتامِ

    And grant us, O Maker of creation,

    At death, a good ending.
