ثلاثٌ تزيد المرءُ نوراً وحكمةً

ثلاثٌ تزيد المرءُ نوراً وحكمةً

أَلا إنّني أُوصيكَ مِنها فكثِّرِ

أَلا إنّني أُوصيكَ مِنها فكثِّرِ

Three things increase a person in light and wisdom.

Three increase a man's light and wisdom

Take heed: indeed, I counsel you to do much of them:

Indeed, I advise you among them so multiply

قراءَةُ قرآنٍ وطولُ تفكرٍ

قراءَةُ قرآنٍ وطولُ تفكرٍ

وثالثُها ذكرُ الإله المصوِّرِ

وثالثُها ذكرُ الإله المصوِّرِ

Recitation of the Qur'an and prolonged reflection;

Reciting the Quran and thought's length

And the third is remembrance of God, the Fashioner.

And the third is remembering the Formative God
