ثلاثٌ فساد الدين عند اتبِّاعها

ثلاثٌ فساد الدين عند اتبِّاعها

وليس لها إلا المذمَّمُ صاحباً

وليس لها إلا المذمَّمُ صاحباً

Three things corrupt religion when followed;

Three corrupt religion when followed -

and they have none but the blameworthy as a companion:

None but the damned take them as companions.

فطاعةُ إبليسٍ ونفسٍ وزوجةٍ

فطاعةُ إبليسٍ ونفسٍ وزوجةٍ

فلا تك يا ذا للثلاث مُصاحباً

فلا تك يا ذا للثلاث مُصاحباً

namely, obedience to Iblis, to the self, and to a wife.

Obedience to Satan, lust and wife -

So do not, O you, be a companion to these three.

Do not be, O you, a companion to these three.
