Lightning flashed from the right of al-Jarʿāʾ,
A lightning flashed from the right of Al-Jar'a'
with persistent rain and unceasing showers.
Bringing abundant rain of continuous clouds

It watered the meadows of Zaroud and Ealaj
then al-Raqmatayn, with streaming water from the sky.
So the two farms became gentle rainwater

does my heart find solace there from bitter anguish.
Does not taste sweet to it from Al-Burha'

Of shaking or rustling and comfort
