بنينا وشيدنا بناءً معمَّداً
ذُرَىheights غُرَفٍof chambers شِيدَتْwere erected علىin رغمdefiance of حُسَّدthe envious
ذُرَى غُرَفٍ شِيدَتْ على رغم حُسَّد
We built and raised a structure supported by pillars,
We built and erected a supported structure
The heights of chambers erected in defiance of the envious.
Rooms built despite the envious
مضتhave passed مائةa hundred والألفand a thousand معwith أربعfour
مضت مائة والألف مع أربع
وأكْرِمand honor طويلاfor long بالحسابby the reckoning المقيَّدrecorded
وأكْرِم طويلا بالحساب المقيَّد
A hundred and a thousand have passed, together with four,
A hundred thousand and four have passed
And honor it for long by the recorded reckoning,
Honored long with the restricted account
بدولةunder the rule of اليعربيّthe Yaʿrubi إمامناour imam
بدولة اليعربيّ إمامنا
سلالةa descendant of سلطانSultan بنson of سيفSayf المؤيَّدthe aided one
