ثلاثٌthree things تقودُlead الصعبthe intractable وهيand they are حميدةٌpraiseworthy
ثلاثٌ تقودُ الصعب وهي حميدةٌ
فلاso no حيلةٌmeans منfrom بعدهاafter them للمطالبِfor one's aims
فلا حيلةٌ من بعدها للمطالبِ
Three things lead the intractable, and they are praiseworthy;
Three lead to hardship yet remain virtuous
so beyond them there is no other means of attaining one's aims:
Afterwards, nothing can be done to seek things
ليونَةُgentleness طبعٍof disposition بالوثيقةwith assurance بعدهafter it
ليونَةُ طبعٍ بالوثيقة بعده
كلامٌspeech لطيفٌkind وابتذالُand freely giving الرغائبِprized possessions
كلامٌ لطيفٌ وابتذالُ الرغائبِ
gentleness of disposition, with assurance, followed by
A gentle nature with intimate ones after that
kind speech and freely giving prized possessions.
