Pass the wine swiftly, while the breeze is languid.
The breeze stirred the wine
And the shade is deep, its canopy fluttering.
And the shade was gently swaying

نَشوانُ تعطّفه الصَبا فَيَميلُ
And the garden's flanks sway in delight,
The meadow, in its cloaks, sways gracefully
Intoxicated, it leans as the east wind bends it.
Bowed by the gentle morning breeze

Lush, it was silvered by the dew, which then lifted
Bejeweled by the dew, then it fades away
From it; then late-afternoon light gilded both its sides.
Taking with it the meadow's charm
