كُلُّevery اِبنِson of أُختٍa sister زائِدٌadding to أَهلَthe people of أُمِّهhis mother
كُلُّ اِبنِ أُختٍ زائِدٌ أَهلَ أُمِّه
وَأَنتَand you اِبنَson of أُختيmy sister ناقِصٌdiminishing غَيرَnot زائِدِadding
وَأَنتَ اِبنَ أُختي ناقِصٌ غَيرَ زائِدِ
Every sister’s son is a gain to his mother’s people;
Every sister's son exceeds the people of his mother,
But you, my sister’s son, are a loss, not a gain.
Yet you, my sister's son, lack and do not exceed.
فَوائِلso seek refuge إِلىto المَنجاةِsafety مِنfrom مُتَحَفِّرٍone lying in wait
فَوائِل إِلى المَنجاةِ مِن مُتَحَفِّرٍ
تَعَمَّدَhe deliberately sought مَجزاهُhis recompense مُضِرَّharmful to العَوانِدِthe wayward
تَعَمَّدَ مَجزاهُ مُضِرَّ العَوانِدِ
So flee to safety from one lying in wait,
So flee for refuge from the undermining ones
Who deliberately seeks his recompense, a scourge to the wayward.
Who are set on requiting the refractory harmdoers.
