يُشَبَّهُونَthey are likened to مُلُوكاًkings فيin تَجِلَّتِهِمtheir majestic bearing
يُشَبَّهُونَ مُلُوكاً في تَجِلَّتِهِم
وطُولِand the length of أَنْضِيَةِshafts الأعناقِthe necks واللِّمَمِand locks of hair
وطُولِ أَنْضِيَةِ الأعناقِ واللِّمَمِ
They are likened to kings in their majestic bearing,
They are likened to kings in their splendor
And in their long, shaft-like necks and long locks of hair.
And the length of their necks and garments
إذاwhen غداbegan in the morning المِسكُmusk يجرِيflows فيin مَفارِقِهِمْtheir hair-partings
إذا غدا المِسكُ يجرِي في مَفارِقِهِمْ
راحُواthey went forth at evening تَخالُهُمُyou think them مَرْضىill مِنَfrom الكَرَمِnobility
راحُوا تَخالُهُمُ مَرْضى مِنَ الكَرَمِ
When musk flows through their hair-partings in the morning,
When musk flows in their joints
They go forth at evening; you think them ill from their nobility.
They walk imagining themselves to be generous
