May God repay Qabid with evil for his deed.

And every man is repaid for what he strove for.

He called Qabid while the keen-edged swords sought him.

So cursed be you, the one called; and to you, the caller, 'Here I am!'

Would that Ubayd Allah had been in his place,

Lying slain, and I had heard no herald of Tawba's death.
