لِتَبْكِlet them weep العَذارىthe maidens مِنْof خَفاجَةَKhafaja كُلِّهاall of it
لِتَبْكِ العَذارى مِنْ خَفاجَةَ كُلِّها
شِتاءًin winter وصَيْفاًand in summer دائِباتٍunceasing ومَرْبَعاand in spring
شِتاءً وصَيْفاً دائِباتٍ ومَرْبَعا
Let all the maidens of Khafaja weep,
Let the virgins weep copiously
In winter and summer, unceasingly, and in spring,
Winter and summer continually
عَلىfor ناشِىءٍa youth نالَhe attained المَكارِمَthe noble virtues كُلَّهاall of them
عَلى ناشِىءٍ نالَ المَكارِمَ كُلَّها
فَماand not انفَكَّhe ceased حتَّىuntil أَحْرَزَhe won المَجْدَglory أَجْمَعاall of it
فَما انفَكَّ حتَّى أَحْرَزَ المَجْدَ أَجْمَعا
For a youth who attained every noble virtue,
For one who gained all noble qualities
And never ceased until he won glory in full.
Until he finally won perfect glory
