ليسَ بين الأنصارِ في جحمَةِ الحَر

ليسَ بين الأنصارِ في جحمَةِ الحَر

بِ وبينَ العُداةِ إلا الطِّعانُ

بِ وبينَ العُداةِ إلا الطِّعانُ

There is nothing between the Ansar, in the blaze of war,

Among the supporters in the heat of war

and the foes but spear-thrusts,

And the enemies is nothing but the spear tips

وقِراعُ الكُماةِ بالقُضُب البِي

وقِراعُ الكُماةِ بالقُضُب البِي

ضِ إذا ما تحطَّمَ المُرَّانُ

ضِ إذا ما تحطَّمَ المُرَّانُ

and the clash of armored warriors with white blades,

And the striking of the brave with white sticks when

when the ash-wood spears shatter.

The lances are smashed

فادعُها تستجب فليسَ من الخز

فادعُها تستجب فليسَ من الخز

رجِ والأوسِ يا عليُّ جَبانُ

رجِ والأوسِ يا عليُّ جَبانُ

So summon them; they will answer, for no man among the Khazraj

So call upon them, they will respond, for there is no cowardice

and the Aws, O Ali, is a coward.

Among the Khazraj and Al-Aws, O Ali

يا وصيَّ النبيِّ قد أجلتِ الحر

يا وصيَّ النبيِّ قد أجلتِ الحر

بُ الأعادي وسارَتِ الأَظعانُ

بُ الأعادي وسارَتِ الأَظعانُ

O appointed successor of the Prophet, war has driven away

O executor of the Prophet, you have delayed war

the foes, and the camel litters have set out.

Against the enemies and the armies have marched

واستقامتَ لكَ الأمورُ سِوى الشا

واستقامتَ لكَ الأمورُ سِوى الشا

مِ وفي الشامِ يظَهرُ الإذعانُ

مِ وفي الشامِ يظَهرُ الإذعانُ

And affairs have fallen into order for you, save al-Sham;

And things went well for you except Syria

and in al-Sham, submission shows itself.

And in Syria surrender appears

حسبُهُم ما رأَوا وحسبُكَ مِنّا هكذا

حسبُهُم ما رأَوا وحسبُكَ مِنّا هكذا

نحنُ حيثُ كُنَّا وكانُوا

نحنُ حيثُ كُنَّا وكانُوا

What they have seen suffices them, and this from us suffices you:

It is enough what they saw, and it is enough for you from us, this is how

We are where we were, and where they were.

We are where we were and they were where they were
