رأوا نعمةً لله ليست عليهمُ

رأوا نعمةً لله ليست عليهمُ

عليكَ وفضلاً بارعاً لا تنازَعُه

عليكَ وفضلاً بارعاً لا تنازَعُه

They saw a blessing from God, bestowed not upon them,

They saw a blessing from Allah that was not upon them

But upon you, and surpassing merit in which you are unrivaled.

Upon you and an excellent virtue that no one disputes

من الدينِ والدنيا جميعاً لك المُنى

من الدينِ والدنيا جميعاً لك المُنى

وفوقَ المُنى أخلاقُهُ وطبائِعُه

وفوقَ المُنى أخلاقُهُ وطبائِعُه

In faith and worldly life alike, all you desire is yours;

Of religion and life - you have all hopes

And his character and disposition surpass all one could wish.

And above hopes are his morals and nature

فعضُّوا من الغيظِ الطويلِ أكفَّهم

فعضُّوا من الغيظِ الطويلِ أكفَّهم

عليكَ ومن لم يَرضَ فاللَهُ خادِعُه

عليكَ ومن لم يَرضَ فاللَهُ خادِعُه

So in their prolonged rage they bit their palms

So they bit from prolonged rage their palms

On your account; and whoever is not content—God will outwit him.

Upon you and whoever is not pleased - Allah will be his adversary
