وطلحةُ يكفيكَهُ وحوحَه
And as for al-Zubayr, I will deal with him for you.
And as for Az-Zubayr, he is enough for you,
And Talha—a wheeze will take care of him for you.
And Talhah is enough for you and his folly,

And Ya'la ibn Munya, when it comes to combat,
And Yala ibn Umayyah avoids fighting,
Is forever turning away and clearing his throat.
Frequently changing sides and humming.

وعائشُ في الناسِ مستفضحه
And Aisha—her judgment will surely suffice us.
And Aisha's mind is enough for us,
And Aisha stands disgraced among the people.
And Aisha is disgraced amongst the people.
ولنand will not يُصلِحُset right الأمرthe matter إلاexcept الحسامُthe sharp sword
ولن يُصلِحُ الأمر إلا الحسامُ

كما يصلُحُ الجُبنُ بالإنفحَه
And nothing will set matters right but the sharp sword,
And the matter will only be settled by the sword,
Just as cheese is set with rennet.
As cheese is settled with rennet.

لمن جاءَ بالكنثِ ما أقبحَه
Nor will matters be put right without fighting,
And nothing will be settled except by fighting,
For whoever comes with oath-breaking—how vile it is!
For he who came with lies, how ugly it is!

All our affairs are set right.
All our affairs are advantageous.
