Sol 6.1

  1. ما أَنا إِنْ أَحْسَنْتُما بِي وَحُلْتُما

    عَنِ الْعَهْدِ بِالْغِرِّ الصَّغِيرِ فَأُخْدَعُ

    I am not—if you two treat me kindly and turn away

    From the covenant—a gullible youngster to be deceived.

  2. حَوَيْتُ مِنَ الْغاياتِ تِسْعِينَ حِجَّةً

    وَخَمْسِينَ حَتَّى قِيلَ: أَنْتَ الْمُقَزَّعُ

    I have amassed ninety years of life's span,

    And fifty more, until it was said: 'You are al-Muqazzaʿ, the patchy-haired one.'
