    وَبِالعِلمِ يَجلو الشَكَّ مَنطِقُهُ الفَصلُ

    Often silent and often speaking—his silence springs from forbearance;

    And with knowledge his decisive speech dispels doubt.

    A young man who has never forsaken right conduct or committed a wrong,

    And, from his abundant generosity, has never known what stinginess is.

    In him, a radiant sun bore the full moon a noble son,

    Blessed, through her the branch and the root flourish.

    When a sire's offspring is born of a well-bred female

    And a purebred male who begets noble offspring, the offspring is noble.
