You know that I am a man of longing.
You know I am one whose desire
Passion stirs wantonness within me.

Why then do you try and make me proclaim

What the world would disown me for saying?

In your presence I'm joyous and blithe
with joy, as though I were in a tavern.

the passion of girls, O enchantress.

With her you 'sold' frivolity and wantonness,
