O Lord, the most loathsome house You have created

is a house in Kawfan, from which Saqar was kindled.

A dwelling where all the people have gathered,

their circumstances varied, with neither coming in nor going out.

    A house—may time efface it—desolate

of all human fellowship, though nomads and townsfolk are within.
