فَكأَنَّماso, as though اِشتَمَلَتhad closed around مَواقيthe corners of عَينِهِhis eye
فَكأَنَّما اِشتَمَلَت مَواقي عَينِهِ
يَومَon the day of الفِراقِparting عَلىupon يَبيسِthe dried parts of الخَمخَمِthe khamkham plant
يَومَ الفِراقِ عَلى يَبيسِ الخَمخَمِ
So it was as though the corners of his eye had closed
As if the pupils of his eyes embraced
