رأت شمطاً تَخُصُّ بِهِ المَنايا
شواةُthe crown الرَأسِof the head كالسِبطِlike sibṭ grass المُحيلِwithered
شواةُ الرَأسِ كالسِبطِ المُحيلِ
She saw graying hair, with which death marks out
She saw a hair comb with which death separates
The crown of the head, like withered sibṭ grass.
