أَسألُ اللَهَ سَكرَةً قَبلَ مَوتي

أَسألُ اللَهَ سَكرَةً قَبلَ مَوتي

وَصِياحَ الصبيانِ يا سَكرانُ

وَصِياحَ الصبيانِ يا سَكرانُ

I ask God for a spell of drunkenness before my death,

I ask Allah for rapture before my death

and for the boys to shout, “O drunkard!”

And the cries of children, O intoxicated one
