Some people slept the morning away, far from glory and the heights;
Some people slept late, heedless of glory and eminence;
by noon they still lay sleeping—glory had not slept in.
So they passed the morning asleep, while he did not sleep late.

When a people’s honor is scarred by their own baseness,
When a people's honor is scarred by their baseness,
whoever escapes their baseness unscathed remains unblemished.
He escapes their baseness unharmed and unscarred.

By your faith, glory has unloosed its saddle
By your faith, glory has unfastened its saddle
at your abode, amid luxuriant abundance and broad pasture.
Beside you, on lush, fertile pasture and grazing land.
