وَفي اليأسِ عَن بَعضِ المَطامِعِ راحَةٌ

وَفي اليأسِ عَن بَعضِ المَطامِعِ راحَةٌ

وَيا رُبَّ خَيرٍ أَدرَكَتهُ المَطامِعُ

وَيا رُبَّ خَيرٍ أَدرَكَتهُ المَطامِعُ

And in giving up hope of some ambitions there is relief;

There is rest in losing hope of some desires,

Yet many a good thing has been attained through ambition!

Yet, my Lord, so many good things hopes acquire.
