يَصيحُ صَداها بالعَشيِّ وَهامُها
And how, when they have become bones and graves?
How could it be when they've become mere bones and graves
Their owl and their death-birds cry out at dusk.
Its echo crying out in the evening and its zeal
تَفانَواthey perished وَلَمand did not يَبقواremain وَكُلُّand every قَبيلَةٍtribe

They perished, none remaining; and every tribe—
They've passed away and not remained, and every tribe
Its noble ones hasten to death’s watering-place.
Swiftly goes to the spring of annihilation, their nobility
