من بِالخِلافَة أَولى

من جَعفَر بن مُحَمَّد

من جَعفَر بن مُحَمَّد

Who is more worthy of the caliphate

I am more deserving of the caliphate

than Ja‘far son of Muhammad?

Than Ja'far son of Muhammad

وَمَن أَحَق بعهد

وَمَن أَحَق بعهد

من الأَمير المُؤَيَّد

من الأَمير المُؤَيَّد

And who is more entitled to a pledge of succession

And who has more right to a promise

than the prince al-Mu’ayyad—

Than the supported commander

من المُؤمّلِ في اليَو

من المُؤمّلِ في اليَو

مِ وَالمُؤَمَّلِ في الغَد

مِ وَالمُؤَمَّلِ في الغَد

than the one hoped for to-

I am the one hoped for today

day, and the one hoped for tomorrow?

And the one hoped for tomorrow
