They came forth; no man of sense kept his wits
They came forth, but he of understanding heart
About him, nor was any man of suspect intent disgraced through them.
Had no heart left to give them when they came,

No eyes were like the eyes of that day,
Nor on that day were eyes as eyes indeed,
Nor hearts like the hearts of that day.
Nor hearts as hearts.
