هَنتكmay it bring you joy أُكرومَةٌan honor جُلّلتَyou were clothed in نِعمَتهاits blessing
هَنتك أُكرومَةٌ جُلّلتَ نِعمَتها
أَنمتit made flourish وَليَّكyour ally وَاجتَثَّتand it uprooted أَعاديكاyour enemies
أَنمت وَليَّك وَاجتَثَّت أَعاديكا
May you enjoy an honor whose blessing has clothed you,
Your grace is a beautiful necklace adorned with bounties
which has made your ally flourish and uprooted your enemies.
It has nurtured your loyal ones and uprooted your enemies
ماnot كانَwas يُحبَىfavored بهاwith it إِلّاexcept الإِمامُthe Imam وَماand not
ما كانَ يُحبَى بها إِلّا الإِمامُ وَما
كانَتit was إِذاwhen قرنتit was matched بِالخَلقwith humankind تَعدوكاit passes you by
كانَت إِذا قرنت بِالخَلق تَعدوكا
None but the Imam was granted it; nor
None were endowed with it except the Imam, and whenever
would it pass you by when matched with humankind.
It was compared to others, it surpassed them
تَاللَّهِby God لَوif أطلقتit were set free أُمَّتكit would seek you out قاصِدَةًheading purposefully
تَاللَّهِ لَو أطلقت أُمَّتك قاصِدَةً
عَنfrom بُعدremoteness مَصدَرِهاits place of origin حَتّىuntil تُوافيكاit reaches you
عَن بُعد مَصدَرِها حَتّى تُوافيكا
By God, were it set free, it would make straight for you,
By God, even if your nation set out from afar
from its far-off origin, until it reached you.
To meet you, arriving from its place of origin
أَوor لَوif تُباعit were sold حَباكَwould favor you الأَولِياءُthe allies بِهاwith it
أَو لَو تُباع حَباكَ الأَولِياءُ بِها
وَرَدّهاand would reject it كُلّevery منone who أَضحىhas come to يُناديكاrival you
وَرَدّها كُلّ من أَضحى يُناديكا
Or, were it sold, your allies would bestow it on you,
Or if the sincere ones sold their love for you with it
and everyone who now rivals you would reject it.
And everyone who came to call on you returned it
ماno جُدّدتis renewed لَكfor you منany نُعمىblessing وَإِنand even if عَظُمَتit is great
ما جُدّدت لَك من نُعمى وَإِن عَظُمَت
إِلّاexcept that يُصَغّرهاmakes it seem small الفَضلُthe excellence الَّذيwhich فيكاis in you
إِلّا يُصَغّرها الفَضلُ الَّذي فيكا
No blessing is renewed for you, however great,
No new bounty would be renewed for you, though great
but the excellence within you makes it seem small.
Except the merit in you makes it seem small
لاnot زِلتyou cease مُستَحدثاreceiving anew نعمىa blessing تُسَرّyou are gladdened بهاby it
لا زِلت مُستَحدثا نعمى تُسَرّ بها
عَلىthroughout الزَّمانِtime وَلاand not زلناwe cease نَهنّيكاwe congratulate you
عَلى الزَّمانِ وَلا زلنا نَهنّيكا
May you ever receive fresh blessings that gladden you,
You continue to institute new bounties that delight
throughout time, and may we ever congratulate you.
