هَوىdescended وَغَلَتand seethed بِهِwith it الأَحشاءthe entrails مِنهاof her
هَوى وَغَلَت بِهِ الأَحشاء مِنها
إِلىto حَيثُwhere اِستَقَرَّcame to rest بِهِwith it مَداهاtheir furthest reach
إِلى حَيثُ اِستَقَرَّ بِهِ مَداها
It descended, and her entrails seethed with it,
Passion surged and overflowed from within
to where their furthest reach came to rest with it.
To where its extent had settled into place
جَرىflowed وَالماءُand the water فيin سَنَنa course فَلماthen when اِنfirst part of 'ended'
جَرى وَالماءُ في سَنَن فَلما اِن
تَهَتremaining part of 'ended' بِالماءِwith the water غايَتُهُits endpoint طَواهاit enfolded her
تَهَت بِالماءِ غايَتُهُ طَواها
It flowed with the water along one course; then, when
It flowed as water flows in its channels but when
its course ended with the water, it enfolded her.
Its end was reached by the water, it concealed it
فَحَلَّso it settled بِحَيثُin a place where لَمnot يَبلُغreached شَرابa drink
فَحَلَّ بِحَيثُ لَم يَبلُغ شَراب
وَلَمand not تحللdwelt بِهِin it أُنثىa female سِواهاother than her
وَلَم تحلل بِهِ أُنثى سِواها
So it settled where no drink had reached,
So it settled where no drink could reach
and where no female other than her had dwelt.
And no female but it was dissolved by it
