بَكى البَينَ قَبلي عاشِقون وَلا أَرى

لِيَوم فُراق آخر الدَّهر باكِيا

لِيَوم فُراق آخر الدَّهر باكِيا

Lovers before me wept over separation, but I do not see myself

ever weeping for a day of parting, as long as time endures.

أُقيم مُقامَ الحَيّ حَتّى إِذا رمت

أُقيم مُقامَ الحَيّ حَتّى إِذا رمت

بِهِم نِيَّةٌ أَصبَحتُ في الحَيّ غادِيا

بِهِم نِيَّةٌ أَصبَحتُ في الحَيّ غادِيا

I stay as long as the tribe stays, until, when a resolve carries

them away, I set out at dawn among the tribe.
