ياO مَنyou who حَنينيmy longing إِلَيهِtoward him
وَمنand you who فُؤاديmy heart لَدَيهِwith him
O you for whom I long,
And you with whom my heart abides,
وَمنand you who إِذاwhen غابَhe is absent منfrom بيbeginning of 'among them'
نِهمcompletion of 'among them' بكيتُI wept عَلَيهِfor him
And you for whom, when you are absent from among
Them, I weep.
إِذاwhen حَضَرتyou are present فَمنthen whom بَيbeginning of 'among them'
نِهمcompletion of 'among them' أَصَبُّI yearn إِلَيهِtoward him
When you are present, then whom among
Them do I yearn for?
منwhoever غابَis absent بَعدكafter you مِنهُمof them
فَأُذنهthen his ear فيin يَدَيهِhis two hands
Whoever among them is absent after you—
Then his ear is in his hands.
