أَبَداًforever مُعتَذِرmaking excuses لاnot يُعذرis excused
أَبَداً مُعتَذِر لا يُعذر
وَمُلِطّand obstinately denying بِالَّذيconcerning that which لاnot يُنكرis denied
وَمُلِطّ بِالَّذي لا يُنكر
Forever making excuses, yet never excused,
Never apologizing, no excuse is accepted
and stubbornly denying what cannot be denied;
And denying what cannot be denied
وَمَليءٌand full منof مساوfaults جَمّةnumerous

هُوَ مَأواها وَعَنهُ تَصدر
and full of numerous faults—
Full of diverse evils
he is their abode, and from him they spring.
It is their refuge, and from it they set forth
كُلُّall ماthat which منfrom غيرهsomeone other than him مُستَنكَرٌdeemed shocking
كُلُّ ما من غيره مُستَنكَرٌ

فَهو مِنه وَحده لا يُنكر
Whatever seems shocking coming from another
All else that is abhorred
is no surprise coming from him alone.
Comes from it alone, it cannot be denied
