وَأَفضلand the best ماwhat يَأتيهhe does it ذوone endowed with الدينfaith وَالحِجىand wisdom
وَأَفضل ما يَأتيه ذو الدين وَالحِجى
إِصابَةُattainment of شكرgratitude لمdid not يَضِعbe lost معهwith it أَجرreward
إِصابَةُ شكر لم يَضِع معه أَجر
And the best that one endowed with faith and wisdom can do
The best that can come to a man of faith and wisdom
Is to earn gratitude without any loss of reward.
Is giving thanks that leaves no reward unclaimed
