فَلَو كانَ لِلشُّكر شَخص يبين

فَلَو كانَ لِلشُّكر شَخص يبين

إِذا ما تَأَمّله الناظِرُ

إِذا ما تَأَمّله الناظِرُ

So if gratitude had a form that could be discerned

If gratitude were a person to behold

when the beholder contemplated it,

Seen clearly by every beholder

لمثّلتُه لك حَتّى تَراهُ

لمثّلتُه لك حَتّى تَراهُ

فتعلَمَ أَني اِمرؤ شاكِرُ

فتعلَمَ أَني اِمرؤ شاكِرُ

I would depict it for you so that you could see it

I would represent him to you in such ways

and thus know that I am a grateful man.

That you'd know I'm a grateful man always
