In which grief stands in the way of consolation.

With which sorrow prevents intimacy.

وحبك مالك لحظي ولفظي

وحبك مالك لحظي ولفظي

وإظهاري وإضماري وحسي

وإظهاري وإضماري وحسي

And love for you is master of my gaze and my speech,

Your love owns my glance, my words,

And what I reveal, what I conceal, and what I feel.

My expression, my concealment, and my feelings.

فإن أنطق ففيك جميع لفظي

فإن أنطق ففيك جميع لفظي

وإن أصمت ففيك حديث نفسي

وإن أصمت ففيك حديث نفسي

For if I speak, all my words are of you,

If I speak, then all my words are about you,

And if I am silent, my soul's discourse is of you.

And if I am silent, then you are my thoughts' conversation.
