She rose so that her figure might veil the sun’s light
She rose to veil the sun's light from my sight
From my eyes, herself veiled from others’ gaze,
And hid it from others' eyes in her plight
علماًknowing لعمركby your life منهاon her part أنهاthat she is قمرa moon

Knowing, by your life, that she is a moon—
Know for certain, though ye live long,
Does anything but the moon’s form eclipse the sun?
The moon eclipses naught but the sun
