O you whose form is like the full moon,

And whose stature is like a bough,

And you—the rose traces its lineage to

A garden smiling upon your cheek—

What do you think of a dejected lover,

Whose tears are held upon his eye,

Standing at the door, lamenting what ails him?

When, then, will you look into his plight?
