to the full moon in radiance and beauty,

while clouds have veiled its charms.

عهدت البدر تكنفه نجومٌ

وذا بدرٌ تطيف به رجوم

وذا بدرٌ تطيف به رجوم

I have known the full moon surrounded by stars;

but this is a full moon surrounded by stones.
